Other radio services do not qualify under our charter, and advocating for them could run the risk of jeopardizing our nonprofit status. They are welcomed to submit their own comments on our behalf but soliciting that support could prove a violation of ARRL's charter. Also, many government emergency management agencies are prohibited under law from advocating for specific legislation.
