Something about cats that I really resonate with:

Strongly wanting proximity, companionship, touch, and affection.

...but in the specific right way, for the right amount of time, that doesn't necessarily mesh perfectly with everyone else's needs...and then reaching a limit and needing space...but not necessarily TOO much space...but maybe sometimes more space than usual.

Parked at a friend's house, apparently too close to the mailbox. Because when I came out, the #USPS had left a photocopied diagram on my car, showing where not to park so that the mail carrier would not have to exit their vehicle when putting mail in the mailbox.

ME: I DON'T EVEN GO HERE!

And there wasn't anyone close enough to hear me.

And the pooooor USPS delivery person had to get out of their car in order to put mail in the mailbox.

TRAGEDIES ABOUND.

Had a regular eye checkup today, including dilation. It's been 6 hours and my vision is still blurry, eyes still overly light sensitive. I've been sitting here wearing those wraparound sunglasses they give you, using my phone. Can't read a book, watch TV, or paint, since I can't see properly. I guess I'll just go to bed early! *stomps off annoyed*

Was just in a public restroom stall and heard a child's voice say, "Hey Courtney?" And, because it sounded like my daughter's friend who's with us, I said, "Yes?" Then came a loud silence followed by a repeat of "hey Courtney?" and I realized that it wasn't the kiddo's friend and I was not being addressed, so now I can't ever go out in public again, the end.

So, I got stung on the leg by a yellowjacket yesterday. It hurt terribly, as though someone had carved up my leg with a knife. But once the initial pain let up, it wasn't too bad.

Today, all day, and now nearly into tomorrow, it has itched sO BAD I WANT TO CLAW MY SKIN OFF.

I'm now sitting here with baking soda paste all over my leg, wishing I could just go to bed.

This happened because I tried to get rid of their nest on the porch.

I make poor choices sometimes.

As I was speech-to-texting, I got a notification. The text app picked up the notification "tone," resulting in this sentence:

Apparently, I am going to die if I don't acquire a body and bury it somewhere.
