For a new auditor to accept an audit, communication with the previous auditor is ethically mandatory, not necessarily obtaining a formal "NOC." ✉️ If no response is received within ~15 days, the new auditor can proceed. The previous auditor cannot withhold consent for non-professional reasons.The ICAI is also implementing a Centralised NOC Policy to digitize this process. 💻
