@w8emv "newer voice codec" isn't quite right. g.711 was released in 1972 and the GSM codec used in Echolink didn't come along until the early 90s. That said, it does sound better because it uses a higher bitrate / less compression.

Great intro though. I haven't used the Web Transceiver feature before. I connect back to my own ASL node over #IPv6 and link up from there.

Erst lassen die sich von HostEurope kaufen, dann ziehen sie eine vServer-PLattform ohne #IPv6 hoch, machen dafür die Alte dicht (die jahrelang zuverlässig IPv6 geliefert hat) und jetzt gehen sie mit Microsoft ins Bett.

Wer einen Hotmail-Account will, der würde doch direkt zu M$ gehen und nicht zu dF. So vergrault man Kunden.

Es wäre viel wichtiger, wenn dF mal das Handling der AAAA-Glue-Records in Angriff nehmen würde. Das funktioniert nämlich nicht.

I was hoping that #Ubiquiti has better #IPv6 in these days. Sadly, there are some important features missing. You cannot set a #ULA prefix 🤯
There are some posts about manually modifying some internal json file but this potentially breaks after some update.
And the other feature is IPv6 in guest network. They still do not support v6 when having a portal in a guest network. Hello? 2025? Why?

Coming home from #DectWorld, this was successful: Three teams that are interested in working on a #FLOSS implementation of DECT nr+ have talked, and agree that it makes sense to pool resources.

What is nr+, in 284 chars remaining?
It's a relatively low-power radio in the 1.9GHz band (where the old DECT phones still live), supporting star, tree and mesh topologies at <1ms hop latency. It carries #IPv6 and custom apps. It is a recognized IMT-2020 ("5G") standard but no SIMs / operators involved.

Http3 is fully deployed on my tailscale and personal, and the public is set, only need dns propagation (for http3 query), and cache expiration (for already saved data in h2.

All my personal thing only allow tls1.3 from now.

Ooo I’m impressed, DisneyPlus fixed geo ip for my #IPv6 /44 PA and properly map it to PL. Took little more than week but fixed, now waiting for HBOMax/DigitalElements.

Konkret:
1) #IPv6 geht seit ein paar Tagen nicht mehr
2) Vodafone baut offene Peerings zurück, um seine Betriebskosten zu externalisieren.

ICh fürchte, ich werde mir einen neuen Mobilfunkanbieter suchen müssen, wenn das so weiter geht.
