Winter bike tires are on! Schwalbe Marathon Winter Plus from #Bike24 . Took a while to get here from Dresden Germany, but even with shipping the pricing was very good compared to US importers.

Took them out for a spin this evening, they feel super grippy. I won't be going extra fast but on the 5% of the street that's still snowy/icy/slushy after recent storms I feel a lot more confident.

@andythomas @Belle Studded tires work incredibly well. I've biked on wet ice with my Schwalbe Winter Marathons.

Just don't try to put your foot down. ;-)

Having said that, switching things out over the winter so you're really excited to ride in the spring has a lot of value too.
