On Wednesday, the house will have a subject matter hearing on the success act and will need your help. Again. Please file another witness slip before 4:00 p.m. This Wednesday, May 8th .

The pretrial success act will improve community safety and court appearance rates by expanding access to care through case management, mental health support, and substance use services for people awaiting trial. If passed, the bill will allocate 15 million for communities to expand access to these vital voluntary services. Distribution of these funds will be informed by our communities and go to health and human service. Organizations- not law enforcement.

Please submit witness slopes by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8th, (see detailed instructions below) and share the link with your friends and family.

A sign on Taylor Street in Little Italy, Chicago. On the day I took the photo I was supposed to have lunch with colleagues. I didn't read the mail close enougg. Instead of having a catered lunch on campus, I walked a very long way to go to the restaurant we were getting catering from!

Honestly, I probably needed the walk more than the lunch. I got to see Taylor Street more closely, and there are alot of unique places all along the street.

Five Years

It's hard to believe it's been five years today since I married my best friend. I don't often put a lot of my personal life here on my blog, but today is a special day so it deserves something special. And since photography has always intertwined in my relationship with my wife it only makes sense to put it here on our fifth wedding anniversary. I guess it all started on a rainy day in Arras.
