A vertical poster with a soft purple background and a tall, flowing, iridescent shape in the center, resembling liquid light or a glass ribbon. The colors shift between pink, blue, green, and gold. Large white text reads: “THE BRAIN’S HIDDEN STATE BEFORE SLEEP.” Smaller text says: “Between wakefulness and insight.” A rounded button shape reads “Swipe.” The top corner reads “Psilocybin 101.” The Magic Church name and website appear at the bottom.A dreamy, night-sky gradient background in purple and blue with subtle stars. At the center floats a glowing, translucent orb connected to a winding, rainbow-colored path flowing downward. Text explains that just before sleep, the mind loosens control, thoughts become fluid, and ideas connect in unexpected ways. It states this state is called hypnagogia. “Psilocybin 101” appears at the top, with The Magic Church name and website at the bottom.A calm purple gradient background with a large, softly glowing, translucent sphere in the center. The title reads “Notable Minds.” Text references historical figures: Gauss experiencing sudden mathematical insight, Descartes linking philosophy to vivid liminal dreams, and Edison and Dalí working at the edge of sleep. The message concludes that insight often appears when control softens. The Magic Church branding appears at the bottom.A minimalist purple and pink gradient background with faint, concentric glowing rings radiating from the center, suggesting waves or resonance. The title reads “The Connection.” Text explains that neuroscience shows psilocybin engages related cognitive dynamics, loosening rigid patterns and supporting new perspectives. “Psilocybin 101” is shown at the top, with The Magic Church name and website at the bottom.

Managing Anxiety - Quotes from Buddhist monk Sayadaw U Tejaniya

Managing Anxiety - Quotes from Buddhist monk Sayadaw U Tejaniya

You need to acknowledge anxiety every time it comes up.
Watching anxiety will help you understand something and this will allow your mind to let go. Understanding what is happening will bring peace to the mind.
When dealing with anxiety ask yourself these four questions:
1 "When I am having this emotion, does it make my body and mind feel good or bad?"
If you recognize the emotion every time it arises and also recognize whether it feels pleasant or unpleasant in body and mind, the mind will start wondering whether it is worth having this emotion. Eventually your mind will realize that it does not have to live with this emotion.
2 "What is the emotion about, what is it directed towards?"
3 "Why am I having this emotion?"
4 "Is having this emotion necessary?"
These questions support practice, because they create interest and encourage us to use our intelligence. The moment we get a real answer, the mind really sees something, and it lets it go.

Fear
The key is accepting that fear or anxiety is natural. That it can happen, and it's happening now. If the mind accepts that this is nature at work, this acceptance settles the mind so much. The worst thing that you could possibly do is to think "How can I get rid of this?" The desire to not have anything bad happen at all, is exactly what causes the worst fears to arise. The mind that doesn't want any sorrow or suffering creates the most anxiety.

Managing Emotions - Quotes from Buddhist monk Sayadaw U Tejaniya

Managing Emotions - Quotes from Buddhist monk Sayadaw U Tejaniya

Whatever is Happening Doesn't Belong to You
Right View is very important in meditation. Otherwise, you'll become depressed when you watch your mind, because you will identify with craving, aversion and delusion. Whatever is happening doesn't belong to you. The mind is mind; craving and aversion are craving and aversion. They don't belong to you. For example, anger can happen to anybody. No one can say: "Anger belongs to me." Anger is anger; anger is nature.

What I See, I Can Not Be
There is a saying that sums up awareness of objects very well:
"What I see, I cannot be.”

Be Interested in How Thoughts Operate, Not The Stories They Tell.
When you observe thoughts, you want to understand how they operate, not the stories they tell.

Understanding that the mind is nature, not an "I" or "me."
Our thoughts tell a story. This story is just a concept. It is not who or what we are.

Seeing the Mind Clearly Helps You To Let Go
We need to look at what is in our mind, and know it until the mind realizes that it doesn't want to be that way anymore. That realization will help you learn how to let go.

Insight (t)

Tim wasn't sure why, but, every time he came to this area to surf, he felt like he was being watched. Not, like from the people casually standing along the bluffs, but, like being targeted by some mechanical tracking device. It gave him the willies and certainly interrupted his concentration.
