Mein heutiges Projekt war flott erledigt: Jellyfin via CasaOS am Raspberry installiert, Videos auf die SSD vom Pi kopiert, Infuse Video-Player installiert (Apple TV / iPad) und mit Jellyfin am Pi verbunden. Läuft wie am sprichwörtlichen Schnürchen.

@caseyliss I don't really like #Jellyfin - mostly cos it can't use the #Plex api to pull out my playlists and recreate them...something that I as a programmer would think would be easy.

I adore #Infuse cos of video and audio quality. But Plex - as it currently is - is really beginning to lose focus on what made it great! So I have to look elsewhere.

Great, now Infuse and Jellyfin are arguing which is resulting in Infuse no longer getting updated from the Jellyfin library. I'm pretty sure it's from the update to Jellyfin 10.11.2...unfortunately I don't think there's a ton that can be done on my side except wait for an update to fix things.

What is the reason to pay for and use #Infuse player on #iOS if you already have a #Plex or #Jellyfin setup? It seems like a lot of duplication including costs. And if you don't have Plex or Jellyfin on a NAS or server, why not use just install that? Infuse seems best for connecting to cloud storage services rather than local it seems.

If I have one complaint about the Jellyfin ecosystem, it's specifically with the Infuse client. It does a great job, but there is no way to have it accept "self-signed" certificates. I run a local CA and all of my internal servers have certs carved off of it. Unfortunately, Infuse will not connect to the Jellyfin server because of it which kinda sucks. Very annoying...

Okay, y'all, Anyone else have issues playing 4k videos on #Infuse for #AppleTV 4k? Some of the things I'm experiencing: press pause and it pauses. BUT then press pause or scrub and it freezes! 2 min later it shows the interface and allows you to continue. This is not on a BRAND NEW AppleTV 4k. This is the 1-gen-back AppleTV 4k w/ethernet. Plex says it's sending 400MB/s+ in bursts, so it's not NOT getting data. Seems like it's not great at caching and scrubbing. I've an @infuse pro subscription.

Finally gave #Infuse a try, and holy moly is it a nice media player.

If you're thinking of a home media server, I'm finding the combination of #jellyfin on a server or NAS, with #infuse as the front end on an AppleTV to be a really nice combination.

@amarzar @jsanchez0x @mariordriguez @avegalf @tailscale Con sinceridad no lo he usado mucho como Nodo de salida porque tengo como Nodo ppal una Pi4 8Gb, el Tv lo tengo como Nodo secundario por si se cae la Pi y va de lujo, el uso principal de ese Tv es conectarse por VPN al Emby que tengo en casa a través de #Infuse y se lo traga Todo todo aunque no he podido probar 4K en la tele porque no lo es pero en el IPad M2 va perfecto

Nachdem #Synology die eigene #Video #App mit dem #Update auf #DSM 7.2.2 EOL gestellt hat bzw. einfach gekillt habe ich als erste Alternative das freie #jellyfin getestet und bin begeistert. 😃 📽️

Für meine Belange total ausreichend!
