As inauguration day draws near, let’s remember that moving to another country isn’t as easy as it seems, especially for those with disabilities. Moving requires a lot of resources that many people don’t have, and not all countries are welcoming to people with chronic health conditions.

To be fair, 2021-22 does have some historic high domestic out-migration from California, but it's not out of line with rates seen in the 1990s and early 2000s.

What IS dramatically different (aside from higher death rates) is that international migration plummeted.
