The goal is to keep moving. Use the OODA loop—observe, orient, decide, act—to maintain momentum. Don't get stuck trying to find the perfect answer.

This builds agility. You'll start turning uncertainty into an advantage by making progress.

But the research is clear. When you paraphrase what someone said—just playing it back to them—they become more open to your perspective. It works because people need to feel heard.

Try this. Repeat their point and ask, “Did I get that right?” Then follow up with, “What would make you reconsider your view?” That’s how you show you’re listening without having to agree.

Brain science shows we feel before we think. We use mental shortcuts based on emotion, not deep analysis.

So what actually works?
Start with shared values, not facts. Build trust first. Tell a story, don’t just list points. Persuasion isn’t about being right. It’s about being understood.

Try this. Open two different AI tools. Ask both the same complex question, like “Explain quantum entanglement and its application in modern computing.” Compare the answers. One might be clear and thoughtful. The other might miss the point completely.

Stop treating every AI like it’s the same. Learn what each one does best.
