Look also how he pats him on the back before they enter the building, *guiding* him in, as to say "I am the one leading". It's brilliant. Macron's an expert in this (as was Jean-Claude #Juncker by the way). It's really interesting to see how such small, touchy gestures can have such a strong psychological effect.
