I keep wondering if #Crimea may be back in Ukrainian hands in the near future:

The Ukrainians have been disabling the radar stations protecting Crimea, blinding the occupiers. They took out SAM/BUK missile systems. They just took out key bridges and railways (except Kerch) used to supply Russian troops on the peninsula.

Take back Crimea, and #Putin will suffer a huge loss militarily, and more importantly, politically.

I want to see a Ukrainian flag fly on the #Kerch bridge!

An absolutely classic story of a #Ukraine collaborationist who betrayed his country for #Russia hoping for wealth and prestige, but ended up dead.

In 2014 Konstantin Ermanov was the first to raise Russian flag in #Kerch in #Ukraine #Crimea and welcomed its annexation.

In appreciation of his betrayal, Russian authorities nominated him as member of the Kerch city council, where he discovered extreme levels of corruption introduced by Sergey Aksenov and, stupidly, started to criticise it.

As Denis Kazansky wrote, “suddenly it became clear that criticising the authorities was only possible under Ukraine but Russia will not tolerate such behaviour”.

So in 2022 Russian police staged their classic show “capturing a totally random driver with a pack of marijuana” and he was sentenced to 11 years in prison. He then volunteered to join the army in hope for a pardon, but he instead he promptly died in one of the “meat attacks”.

The operation lasted several months. Security Service agents mined the supports of the bridge and activated the first explosive device today at 4:44 am.

The underwater supports of the bridge were severely damaged at the bottom level - 1100 kg of explosives in TNT equivalent were used.

Das Video dazu sieht recht unspektakulär aus (https://united24media.com/), schwer zu sagen, wie kaputt die Brücke ist. Bilde mir aber ein, daß das Betonfundament um einige cm abgesackt ist, was sehr schlecht für die Brücke wäre.
