I set the #KeyboardIO aside for a minute and Barry is there immediately.
He’s very discerning about keyboards. Always has been.

I think I've achieved basic competency with the Atreus after a solid 3 weeks. Still slow, but I'm not completely helpless anymore, so that's nice.
My slowness is offset by how nice it feels to use, and having a keyboard-only environment. Reaching for trackpad/mouse is extremely rare (blender or music, this keyboard needs to be put away) -- day to day work, feeling some positive inertia.
definitely didn't stay up too late tweaking the layout of my new #KeyboardIO Atreus
but it's perfect now I'm sure I'll never need to edit it again :neofox_angel:
A photo or it didn't happen :)
I treated myself to a walnut model100 with blank black key caps - it arrived today and: wow, is this a beauty
I hope I can transfer my model01 layout/color settings without recreating it key for key; for now I get a javascript bug from chrysalis - filed a report - fingers crossed :-)
Want.
I use a Kinesis keyboard. If I could get Linear A keycaps for it, I totally would.
I use a Dvorak layout with a keyboard that has Qwerty keycaps, so I don't look at the keys anyway.
Since it seems highly likely that I'm going to be functionally one-handed for a while, in the near future, I'm wondering:
Is anybody aware of prior art around one-handed (specifically, right-handed) layouts for the #keyboardio Model 01/100?
Using my #keyboardio Model 100 for a few weeks and now I've switched ESC and ~ on my Atreus as well... Where will this end?
The problem with having a wooden keyboard in a state with dry air.

I am in the process of rearchitecting my #Keyboardio Model 100 firmware, going from an undocumented mess of awkward C++ (:flan_despair:), to a literate style, using Org Roam.
Because my old firmware had a lot of features I no longer use, I removed most of them. But I kept the Leader key, even though I had no use for it anymore. I simply didn't have anything else to put in its place. :flan_nooo:
I figured out what to do with it! :flan_cheer:
I taught it to input Flans. :flan_hacker:
This key is now a flantastic feature on my keyboard. :flan_ooh:
Playing around with my new #keyboardio #Atreus. It's so much smaller than I expected but it's really nice and really easy to customize. Fantastic #keyboard
I'm done with my DIY #atreus palm rest made from oak. #keyboard #keyboardio
Had to add some Levi's denim, to keep the S.F. connection. 😜
Finally oiled it with linseed oil.
Has a little bit more structure than the walnut version, and some more tool marks. But I am quite happy with the result.
#keyboardio has a new keyboard on Kickstarter.
Looks nice.

I'd love a 10" e-ink tablet for emacs with my #Keyboardio m100 to work outside for hours without battery issues... :)
The Keyboardio Preonic is live on Kickstarter!
> We’re thrilled to announce that our fourth keyboard, the #Keyboardio Preonic is now live on Kickstarter. This #keyboard is a collaboration with Jack Humbert of OLKB fame. It’s our first keyboard with Bluetooth, our first keyboard with a knob, our first keyboard with a speaker, and our first keyboard with both columns and rows.

Got up, bought a keyboard ...as one does. #keyboardIo #preonic
I had a dream. I dreamt that I implemented a native #GNOME configurator for #keyboardio keyboards, not unlike #Chrysalis, but definitely different.
I am unsure whether this was a nightmare or a prophecy.
I am still so very happy with my model 01 keyboard. Thank you @jesse and Kaia!
It is great owning a keyboard andbeiny able to repair it.
Bought a keyboard from Keyboardio. It finally arrived despite Fedex's best efforts. Walnut. Brown.
