"Unum Ex Septem Altaribus"

NB: Correct me if I am wrong, it is a rite like collecting Pokemons, but from times before everything had to be bought to feel fulfilled I guess?

Quantic & His Combo Bárbaro - Tradition In Transition (Tru Thoughts, 2009)

from what I gather, in 2007, English musician/DJ/producer Quantic moved to Cali, Colombia, embedding himself with Latin musicians (plus Malcolm Catto of The Heliocentrics) to create the type of global dance music he would have sampled, and it slaps

In her handbook article Holm explains why language matters so much for early modern diplomacy and which languages were used in negotiations and for treaties. She shows that language played an important role on a symbolical and a practical level.

During the early modern period changes in the linguistic landscape of Europe occurred with languages increasing or decreasing in its importance. Although Latin, Italian and French were central, we should not forget that it was a multilingual world.

It was key to decide which language was used in which context, as the choice of language could communicate power relations on a symbolic level. Thus, it was closely linked to questions of the ceremonial and precedence. (6/8)

I've come to the conclusion that the best thing I can do by way of learning languages other than English - is to learn English grammar. Because, once I got through things like Nouns, Verbs, Adjectives, Tenses, and Questions, they stopped teaching me grammar.

And language apps keep trying to shove declensions at me, and telling me how to say "nominative" in Latin. Um. What the hell is a nominative? (No, don't tell me - I looked it up. I can't remember what it is, but I did look it up.)

I compared notes with my family, and my Mother is the only one who could say that she'd been taught about things like that. And that was because she had to learn Latin.

So I've uninstalled the Latin language app, and installed a bug-ridden job from the British Council about English grammar, that started with the verb "to be."

I will return to Latin - but not until I've mastered a more advanced version of English grammar.

"Just Another Day" is a song by Cuban singer-songwriter #JonSecada recorded for his debut studio album, Jon Secada (1992). Secada and Miguel Morejon wrote the song, and #SBKRecords released it as the album's #leadSingle in March 1992. The subject of this #pop-#soul-and-#Latin-influenced #ballad is the protagonist's deep desire to be with his lover and his inability to find happiness or contentment without them. Its music uses minor keys, piano melodies.
