3. Dort drüben dann aber gerne (und extra) auch regelmäßig “Werbung” für Masto machen - und/ oder bei “Kampagnen” wie #joinmastodonday oder #LeaveTwitterDay mitmachen
3. abwarten und geduldig sein (denn wenn schon auch #Medium oder #Mozilla im fediverse auftauchen, wächst das fediverse auch langsam an Substanz …
4. auch gerne außerhalb / offline aktiv dezentrale Social Media promoten (z.B. bei Museen, Organisationen, Institutionen …)
5. viel mehr #hashtags, #Followers & andere tools benutzen - aktiv suchen & folgen - ein neues Netzwerk etablieren …

This #sunday, I signed up to test the @ivory #macOS #Mastodon Desktop client (Ivory for Mac) through #Apple's #TestFlight.
I'm enjoying the experience. It’s like the experience I have on #iOS and #iPadOS, but has support for windowing, keyboard sequences, and more.
It is quite polished! Kudos to @tapbots! I look forward to its release!

There have been a few initiatives recently to do some campaigning about #Mastodon and the #TwitterMigration. March 9 was nominated for #JoinMastodonDay, and the #IdesOfMarch as #LeaveTwitterDay —and while these have generated some noise on Twitter and probably helped revamp interest on the #Fediverse, I have my doubts about the effectiveness of the latter initiative especially.
I see they've been calling #LeaveTwitterDay the #IdesofMusk over at the hellsite. LoL.

An organized push has a dramatically bigger effect than just the original organizers. In this case:

On this #LeaveTwitterDay I thought it might be helpful to repost this article that walks through how to review the information Twitter is collecting about you and shares with advertisers.
It was an eye opening experience for me, and explained why my Twitter feed was filled with strange topics.
On the bright side, I found out that Scream Queens and Kraft Mac and Cheese were both willing to throw money at me to grab my attention. 😅
When Ontario elected a premier I am morally opposed to, I didn’t uproot my life and move elsewhere.
Online platforms are far easier to move around in, but socially & professionally, they still function similar to a geographic location.
This is how I’m currently thinking about Twitter.
