A lost recording of a Pavarotti concert in a Welsh village is released.

The Decca label celebrates the late tenor’s 90th birthday with the out-of-print archives of the Llangollen Competition, which he won in 1955 as a member of an amateur choir.

‘The Lost Concert’ also includes the first two recordings of Pavarotti’s career.

Do your self a favour and watch the NZ Youth Choir win Choir of the World at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddffod. Honestly, the choir is just so good and so comfortable whether singing Bach, an African-American spiritual, or a waiata. They clearly love being from Aotearoa and all the good things we are. Bonus marks for proudly showing the Tino Rangatiratanga flag. Just a joy to watch. And if know Welsh you'll enjoy hearing their introductions from the compere too.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 The second #railway #museum in #Wales was the #LlangollenRailway, along the River Dee. Just in time for their 50th anniversary, the railway was recently prolonged to run from Llangollen now to Corwen, where the train driver ate his lunch.

Into the (Dee) Valley for revisit to Tower Fields (well, it had only been 17 years) as #Llangollen Town were beaten 5-2 by #Brickfield Rangers in the Ardal North East Div. (att: 120).
