Getting into localisation

I have recently made the decision to explore #localisation as a possible future career. I have begun contributing to the #translation of various #freeSoftware projects (especially #TrinityDesktop), both to help out and to build experience alongside a portfolio.

In the future, I'd love to get into #LocJam once it happens again, and perhaps help translate some #indieGames.

Translation and localisation are really quite fun, moreso than any other career opportunity I have been looking into to date! Watching the progress bar of "untranslated strings" slowy turn green is so satisfying.
If only there were job opportunities nearby already.

Per chi non sa, stavo sfogliando itch.io e ho scoperto che c'è un plugin per #Godot che è specializzato per sviluppare avventure grafiche punta e clicca in stile Sierra. mapedorr.itch.io/popochiu

Letteralmente l'equivalente di Godot a PowerQuest per Unity che è stato usato per sviluppare Intergalactic Wizard Force, il gioco di cui ha avuto il recente #LocJam ed giocato da @kenobit tempo fa.

@lgn Le consiglio senza dubbio di tenere d'occhio le iniziative di @aran, come la #LocJam.

Personalmente ho lavorato solo nell'ambito dei videogiochi, che però vedo in grande declino e non consiglierei a una traduttrice con tutta la carriera davanti.

Finalmente ho partecipato a una LocJam in team assieme a un mio caro amichetto, che non è ancora su livellosegreto grrr, e niente è stato divertentissimo! L'avventura grafica è Intergalactic Wizard Force dove due maghi demenzialissimi indagano su un caso ancora più demenziale.
