You know, it's been a while, so I am again trying to program the thumb button on my #Logitech #mxergo trackball. Being #linux, that damn button isn't "seen" per se. I see no event generated when running xe.

I read somewhere that #solaar could do it, but I've never been able to get it to assign anything to it.

Has anyone successfully done this?

I'm very fond of my #Logitech #MXErgo but I *really* wish it had the silent click switches like the #MXMaster3S. Guess I need to browse the interwebs to see if anyone was able to successfully mod it.

the left mouse button of my #mxergo started to act up and it seems like i'm not alone with that issue 😒
the mouse itself is nice, but it's ridiculous how short it lasted, especially considering its price point..

Seit Dienstag den #MXErgo #Trackball im Einsatz und ich muss sagen, macht sich ganz gut. Ich brauche noch etwas mehr Feingefühl mit dem Daumen und das ich die zusätzlichen Tasten anscheinend nicht ohne diese überladene #Logitech Bloatware konfigurieren kann, nervt etwas. Aber ansonsten alles tutti - außer dass mir der Winkel noch nicht so schmeckt. Ich hätte das gern vertikaler, so weitere 40° wären schon schick. 🤔

@shanselman @logitech I rock the #MXErgo #trackball mouse, I did stop using the Logitech software because of universal control on Mac and I'm so happy with this setup. Loved the MX Keys keyboard too but currently use the wireless magic keyboard as well 😅

somehow the leftclick button on my #mxergo became unreliable... mostly noticable when trying to highlight text as it just releases at random times :/
about 3.5 years in... expected more – looks like i finally gotta try to replace switches on there ... or something
