U.S. #medical education has apparently fallen to the point that we are now getting articles on how to do a spontaneous lectures to students, residents, etc. Clinical billing is bypassing the importance of education and research. Very sad.

Aujourd'hui, nous commençons à intégrer la vague de chaleur dans le déroulement du quotidien. Nous décidons d'aller goûter des lattes et des cookies pas loin, dès l'ouverture à 9h30 que nous avons réussi à nous réveiller vers 11h. C'était un joli date avec mon époux·e, j'aime ces discussions où nous trouvons encore des pans de nos vies à nous raconter comme si nous venions de nous rencontrer.
Je suis allée chercher mon traitement antibiotique pour mes sinus et mon front à la pharmacie.
Ensuite nous nous sommes réfugiées à l'ombre en attendant l'arrivée de la famille de mon époux·e, nous avons déjeuner ensemble. Sieste, puis dernier entraînement de tir à l'arc de la saison, il faisait beaucoup trop chaud pour faire ce kilomètre à pied, mais pas le choix.
Mon époux·e nous a fait la surprise d'une séance de cinéma climatisée juste après, et je passe nourrir les chats de ma cliente après le film. Je suis encore très rigoureuse sur l'eau et la crème solaire, et pour l'instant ça me sauve… sauf que j'ai oublié ma nuque ce soir et le coucher du soleil ne m'a pas ratée, j'ai quand même eu un coup de soleil juste là. Fin de soirée dans Animal Crossing.

I'm off to speak at an event today that combines the themes of personalized and predictive medicine, medical device technology, and the future of manufacturing. It should be a great event!
As I open my upcoming keynote, one of the first visuals I’ll be sharing highlights a core message: medical device transformation and disruption are accelerating—fast.
This slide sets the stage with four key forces driving this transformation:
Changing relationship with personal health circumstances. Patients are becoming active participants in their care. With wearables, digital health platforms, and real-time data, individuals are managing their wellness proactively, not reactively.
New manufacturing design, development, and time-to-market methodologies. Technologies like 3D printing and additive manufacturing are collapsing innovation cycles. Rapid prototyping and agile development mean devices can move from concept to reality faster than ever before.
Acceleration of medical science. Breakthroughs in areas like genomics, bioengineering, and regenerative medicine are reshaping what’s possible in care. The speed of discovery is feeding directly into smarter, more adaptive devices.
Medical device intelligence. We’re now embedding AI into the very fabric of medical devices. These tools are no longer passive: they’re predictive, responsive, and increasingly autonomous in their ability to assist care decisions.
This is the convergence of diagnostics, therapeutics, and innovation.
And it supports the idea I’ll emphasize throughout the keynote:
