The death toll this past #flu season took on kids continues to climb. In its latest flu update, #CDC reports on another 4 deaths, bringing the total to date to 250 — an extraordinary number. 89% of the kids for whom vaccination status was known weren't fully vaccinated.

First, I've added 5,480 notifications since June 15, streamlined the graph by removing all years except 2019-2025 (so far) and compressed it horizontally to more clearly display the rising case numbers.

#CDC learned last week of another 5 kids who died from #flu this winter, bringing the total (so far) to a staggering 246 pediatric flu deaths in 2024-25. These deaths occurred between Feb & the end of April.
