A colour photo looking across the eastern ends of both the, roughly parallel, double stone rows of small standing stones at Merrivale on Dartmoor in Devon. Four stones of the northern avenue are nearest the camera with a greater number of the southern avenue in the middle distance. The undulating moors stretch into the distance and the sky is full of grey and white clouds, with small areas of blue showing.

The 3.1m or just over 10ft tall menhir at Merrivale near Princetown on Dartmoor, with a slight lean. A stone circle lies just over 40m to the north and is between about 18 and 20.5m diameter. The grass on the moor is short and sheep-clipped with the tors in the distance below a grey cloudy sky.
