This is a black and white street photo in landscape format of a Chinese woman cycling with a huge load of plastic and cardboard grocery boxes. Beijing, PRC (2012).

The foreground is filled with a grey city street that stretches diagonally across the frame. On the far side is a pavement with low, about 1m high, plastic barrier lining the walkway. Behind the pavement is a tall white wall topped with white Chinese characters on a black background running the length of the wall. Near the top right corner are 3 pedestrians walking from right to left and slightly blurred out of focus. In the centre of the image is our lady cycling a rickshaw, from right to left and though the third wheel is not visible and it has the appearance of a 2 wheel bike. Attached to the rickshaw is what must be a hundred or more plastic and cardboard supermarket grocery boxes. 5 columns across that are 6 tall x 3 rows plus 8 more on her left side and a further 42 smaller cardboard boxes on her right. The load is lashed together randomly with ropes in such a way that would make a sailor cry in despair. So added up: thats 98 plastic boxes plus 42 cardboard, equals 140 boxes in total. In the time I watched her, I never saw or heard any of the boxes fall off!

She was one of the most important suffragists in the South, favoring the states' rights approach to suffrage. A powerful orator, she was active in the Democratic Party and had important leadership roles in local, state and national politics. In 1920 at the Democratic National Convention, she was one of two women to be the first women to have their names placed into nomination for the presidency at the convention of a major political party. This is a colourful, pre-dawn, darkened, cityscape photo of Hong Kong in landscape format shot from an elevated position. (2018).

The darkened city stretches from the lower left towards the photo's centre and up towards the upper right corner. The cities high-rise buildings are partly darkened with random lit rooms scattered around the towers. Beyond this mass of densely spaced blocks is a body of grey water with a few work boats stationary and anchored mid-stream. On the far side of the water, in the upper left corner is a further mass of mostly high-rise buildings with a thin veil of mist obscuring any fine detail. The upper quarter of the image is filled with band of grey cloud or mist that rapidly graduates to a bright orange or gold, more defined and brighter in the upper right corner where the sun is still hidden below the horizon.

The photo was shot from a pathway west of the 'Peak', about 500m above the city. Below the camera is Central district. The body of water is Victoria Harbour and on the far side is Kowloon.

Paula Modersohn-Becker (8 February 1876 – 20 November 1907) was a pioneering German painter who made significant contributions to the development of modern art in the early 20th century. Born in Dresden, she displayed artistic talent from an early age and went on to receive formal training from local painter Bernhard Wiegandt. She then moved to join the Worpswede artists' colony in northern Germany, receiving tuition from Fritz Mackensen. Modersohn-Becker is celebrated for her role in the emergence of Expressionism and her innovative approach to portraiture and self-portraiture. The Pacific gull (Larus pacificus) is a bird in the gull family, Laridae, native to the coasts of Australia. It is moderately common in a band along the coast between Carnarvon, Western Australia, in the west, and Sydney in the east, as well as Tasmania and other islands off the continent's southern coast. The Pacific gull ranges in length from 58 to 66 centimetres (23 to 26 in), with a length of 137 to 157 centimetres (54 to 62 in) across the wings. Its diet consists of fish and invertebrates, such as crabs, sand flatheads and cephalopods. This is a black and white street photo in landscape format of buildings in the an older part of the city. North Point, Hong Kong (2013).

The camera is raised upwards slightly and angled along a street, so much of the opposite of the road is in view, other than the ground floor. In the foreground are two overhead street signs with Chinese characters on squares running horizontally across these long signs. The first sign, with about 2m in view and stretching across the image near the top, has large white characters on a black background. The second sign, stretching across the middle of the photo, perhaps 3m long, has large black characters on a white background. Behind these tired street signs is a low-rise facade of an older mixed-use Hong Kong urban building that extends away from the camera some 30m. There is no symmetry to the building, other than a very weathered, tired and stained exterior. Some of the apartments or businesses have balconies, some have windows, some open, some closed. Some have randomly placed external air conditioning units, some have washing outside. Occasionally a small piece of vegetation is seen heroically attempting to thrive in this dystopian, tropical (most of the year) urban jungle.

Lugers control the movement of the sled by shifting their weight or applying pressure with their calf muscles and shoulders, and can reach speeds of more than 140 km/h (87 mph; 39 m/s). The sport is organised by the International Luge Federation and has been part of the Winter Olympic programme since 1964. This is a black and white photo in landscape format of a large cargo aircraft with multiple streams of vapour forming above and behind the wings. Los Angeles (2018).

To the left of centre is a FedEx Boeing 767 cargo jet in flight and climbing shortly after takeoff. The view is oblique with the tail and left side in view. The aircraft is flying from right to left and diagonally across the photo from the lower right towards the upper left and it's wing span filling about half the image. The fuselage and engine cowlings are white with the rear of the fuselage and fin being dark. On the front of the fuselage, engines and fin are the large bold letters 'FedEx' the name of the cargo airline / delivery company. What is noticeable in the image is the large amount of white steam like, water vapour forming on the upper wing surfaces and a long stream trailing behind the wing tips and out of view behind the plane. The sky surrounding the aircraft is clear and cloudless, devoid of any detail and rendered dark grey.

The location is Los Angeles International Airport, built less than a km from the Pacific ocean coast. The vapour trails forming on the wings are caused by the wings upper surface convex shape causing a drop in atmospheric pressure which provides the plane with it's lift and thus ability to fly. A side effect of the sharp pressure drop is a reduction in temperature, which in the warm and damp air causes the vapour to form.

Amblyeleotris rubrimarginata is a fish in the family Gobioidei, the gobies. It is found on reefs or in seagrass beds in the western Pacific, from New Caledonia to the Great Barrier Reef and around New Guinea, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines, at depths from 3 to 26 metres (10 to 85 ft). As with other Amblyeleotris species, it has a symbiotic relationship with alpheid shrimps, with an individual or a pair of gobies sharing a burrow with a pair of shrimps. A. rubrimarginata is up to 8 centimetres (3.1 in) in length, and its background colour is whitish, marked with five vertical brown or orange bars. It is most readily distinguished from its congeners by a row of red spots along the margin of both dorsal fins and the upper part of the caudal fin, and also by a prominent black spot just above and behind the eye.
