@Davidtoddmccarty Zealotry on both sides of the comma issue has always baffled me.

My position is practical: The Oxford comma never hurts and can only help. So when I took over editing a young newspaper and was told there was no stylebook, I adapted AP style, with the exception of the serial comma.

Every reporter I've hired from traditional newsrooms not only doesn't agree, they _loathe_ it. But I'm the editor. (#MuaHaHaHa.)
