@alxd I imagine it is hard because you have to imagine a world where we relate to one another differently. I wonder if PresevationAux would be different in that regard from Murderbot Diaries. their hab has a really big communal space from what I could gather.

I am re-listening to the #MurderbotDiaries series in anticipation of the show coming out next month (while sternly reminding myself that every adaptation is its own creature and to not expect it to slavishly follow canon). But I keep getting them from hoopla at random, so in the last month. I've listened to:

#2 Artificial Condition
#1 All Systems Red
#3 Rogue Protocol
and now I'm starting #6 Fugitive Telemetry.

It's a bit whiplash-y, but fun!

Skończyłem właśnie All Systems Red autorstwa Marthy Wells. Krótka, wręcz za krótka, ale świetnie napisana powiastka sci-fi, wciągająca zarówno klimatem, postacią głównego bohatera (bot-ocjroniarz, któremu się nie chce i woli oglądać seriale w tle) i świetnie napisaną narracją.

Szkoda, że kolejne części nie są dostępne w podstawowym pakiecie Audible. Ale książkę mimo wszystko gorąco polecam!

Now enjoying the final (at this point) book of Martha Wells’ Murderbot Diaries, System Collapse. About a ⅓ of the way into this 7th title of the series, & it’s obvious something has happened that isn’t fully clear yet, something big. I’m intrigued… #SFF #MurderbotDiaries #SFF

I am reading Service Model by @aptshadow and it is delightful.

It reminds me of many things, which I won't list because it's not them, but it's a real page-turner that I'm enjoying a lot.
Classic AT creepiness but also fun and weird and satirical.

Strong recommend, esp if you like #MurderBotDiaries
