Wow, was a great day on #20m today! Managed to get a whole mess of #POTA parks, and this weekend is also Museum Ships Weekend! Managed to bag 4 ships today, and I'm going to try for some more tomorrow. I ended up getting the USS Hogo, Tall Ship Elissa, SS American Victory, and the LST-393. Was quite a fun day!

We are now installed aboard the Icebreaker St. Erik, in the center of #Stockholm. The antenna and rig are working, we are ready for #museumshipsweekend that starts in a few hours.
We expect hams and non-ham turists to visit the station during the museum's open hours tomorrow but we will be on-the-air also when the museum is closed to the public, until Sunday morning.
Callsign 8S0HRA. SSB, CW and possibly also FT8.
Picture is from the exibition onboard.
@unicycle it wasnt much different on the ship side sometimes. We found out Saturday morning that we had no power for some reason after they moved the ship in dry dock, so we literally slung an extension cord off the lights on the gang plank and worked pota style off the deck. Today, still no power, but we hung a dipole and had a better setup, until the pressure washers started that were so loud you couldnt hear yourself think... #nj2bb #museumshipsweekend
Uss Midway, the elusive grail...we WILL get you! #museumshipsweekend #nj2bb
Flipped the radio on and already heard 3 ships doing #museumshipsweekend, and worked 2! Tune in 40 meters, they're on right now! #hamradio
Day 150: Today's sponge is brought to you by a Ham Radio event. This weekend is Museum Ships On the Air (https://nj2bb.org/museum/) and our club is co-sponsoring the first time activation of the USS Pueblo Memorial. So we'll be busy all weekend with that.
Please share/retoot - Museum Ships Weekend coming up on June 3rd and 4th 2023. Ham Radio contest "for fun" to see how many museum ships you can work, so far over 90 ships participating. Http://nj2bb.org/museum/ #amateurradio #hamradio #museumshipsweekend #museumships
