First successful SSB #POTA complete! 87 contacts in an hour and a half. I only had to stop because I was losing my voice.

The "Trail of Tears National Historic Trail" spans over five thousand miles across nine US states. It has been activated a whopping 5,839 times on #POTA (US-3791) for a total of 246,278 QSOs. On some days it gets activated by more than 10 different callsigns.

Finally, some #POTA parks added within walking distance! Muddy, early start at GB-5029 Balmore Walk Linear Park. Picked a bench with a nice view over downtown Reading, after nearly wiping out (twice) on a muddy path on the way. Field pack gearheads will enjoy today’s pick: reusable French supermarket bag. Not interested in scraping mud and algae off my orange backpack again this weekend! Spent ~2.5hrs for 11 contacts on a very busy 20m before calling it. Both Sweden & Morocco in the log today!

France is now the country with the most #POTA parks in the world, more than 12,500. Not including another currently disabled 2200 parks. About a third of the active parks has seen at least one activation attempt, 815 were activated more than two times. The top park (Prealpes d'Azur Regional Park FR-1185) was activated 179 times.

Not a bad weekend for POTA! I made 25 contacts and a few new parks too! OHH! Also got my second LLOTA contact! I'm really hoping that catches on and does well. It'll be neat to have another locations based "contest".

65 QSO was the outcome of today's #POTA activation using three modes on four bands. Weather conditions were cloudy and foggy at 4° C. Both sloth Stubbsi and alpaca Andy think the worst of winter is over.

Did a chilly activation today. Please note: if an activator is out in 11dF with high winds, some things are going to be rough. I appreciate your patience.

I also promise that I CAN copy at 20wpm but that wind noise is no joke. I won't mention the Alpha Hotel who is tuning up over the pileup.

Also, if I call QRT because my fingers are falling apart and you come back with your call, I WILL work you! But you're 5NN all day.
