Here in downtown Bangkok, many people who work for US government depts who've worked almost their whole working lives in Asia, whose children are in (paid) school here, who don't have homes to go back to in the States .....these people have just been " let go" with no notice.

Aka " cast adrift". What Musk and Trump don't realise is that every one of these people - here and in the USA - has friends and family. This pain will be felt across vast swathes of the USA.
