At the @transitous Hack Weekend last week at @wikimediaDE's WikiBär we looked at integrating #NeTEx schedule data and SIRI-FM/SX elevator status data into #Transitous, among many other things: volkerkrause.eu/2026/01/17/tra

@bovine3dom @cycling_on_rails @LachAnonym @stefanlindbohm So, I hadn't looked any closer at Italy's NAP (link here, so you can skip the road-centric bits: cciss.it/nap/mmtis/public/stat) when first I saw it was all divided by region, but looking more closely, the Trenitalia files do seem to include IC and ICN. No high-speed trains, though, and it's all #NeTEx.

Meanwhile in #timetable open data... #DB apparently figured it would make sense to define additional descriptions as English (Poland) and German (Spain). I am not too happy about that, given the number of typos in other strings tagged like this

On of the things I enjoy most about being an open source developer is the super-active community around OpenTripPlanner.

Last month we merged 60 pull requests (15 of which were from bots) and 14 authors (plus 3 bots) added commits to our main branch. For a project that is almost 15 years old, that is a lot!

For those who wonder what the award-winning #JOSM plugin NeTEx Converter does. Network Exchange standard enables the interoperable exchange of public transport passenger information, similar to General Transit Feed Specification. #NeTEx and #GTFS should be considered as complementary, covering different stages in the data management process. NeTEx covers many other aspects of public transport data, and it is possible to generate a full GTFS data set from NeTEx but not vice versa. #OpenStreetMap
