how Dave (from Dave's Garage) ended up paying civil penalties for deceptive marketing while selling software. They basically used every tool in the scammers' toolbox to make people pay, which included a "free scan" app, that would easily fit in the malware category.
Everyone can make up their minds how important they think the past of a fun YouTube creator is when enjoying the content, but if one of your favorite tech personalities actually got fined for unfair business practices for creating what can easily be categorized as malware, then you would want to know, right?
