This was fun but pointless: using #CSS :has(), :checked, and the subsequent sibling selector (~) to make a #noJS #HTML list filtering tool.

User interface for filtering cards with animals on them, using a radiobutton to select 'OR' or 'AND', then checkboxes for a number of categories. 'AND', 'Herbivore' and 'Mammal' are checked, to the list shows herbivorous mammals, including an alpaca, camel, cow, and elephant.

I think we may be passed the threshold where we can accept #NoJS anymore. What we do need is to actually look at #WebStandards and expand how containerized a website gets.

Like for instance, the app should not know the absolute value of your screen size, or to have so much control over #LocalStorage.

We're at a point where we should also ask ourselves if the #user shouldn't get to decide how they source their frameworks, be it from origin or from a #CDN.

No need to add the * manually behind required form fields anymore.
Just let CSS do it:

}

The "+ ..." just means that <label> and the <input>, <select>, etc. are siblings.

- Tout doit fonctionner en #NoJs, même l'admin.
- L’accessibilité (#a11y) est prioritaire sur les autres considérations.
- Pas de cookie autre que technique.
- Pas d'intégration de services US ou qui ne respecte par la vie privée.
- On pense éco-conception partout (hosting, backend, frontend).
- Etc etc...

Great benefit of going #nojavascript #nojs on your #SmallWeb is being able to have full access to your web over experimental or retro #os. I just did a merry #solstice status update on mine. From #mothra. Running on #9front in #qemu running on top of #twm in #termux running on low end #android tablet. And yes, you can have decent user experience on mouse oriented system without a mouse using just trackpad / touchscreen.

So, merry Solstice. May your knitting and your code flow freely.
