Oh man, I remember using #twm 33 years ago!
Good times.

I found peace with #twm very minimal but it's mouse centric I did like #dwm which is very nice.

I finally managed to organize my keybindings. Some were scattered across my TWM config, but I decided to centralize everything
in .xbindkeysrc for simplicity.

I also compiled a few packages from SlackBuilds for Slackware, including guile 2.2, xbindkeys, brightnessctl, and dmenu.

Still setting up my #FreeBSD #Xorg Desktop PC and I've got #Xterm just how I like it for now with my favourite theme gruvbox. Strangely enough I'm still running the default #Twm as I haven't yet installed a tiling wm like #Herbstluftwm . This feels like the late 80's earlier 90's and I'm having fun learning new stuff even though I used to use Xorg for years before #Wayland . I mean I never ever thought I'd like Xterm but it's way more lightweight and powerfull than I ever gave it credit for.

Great benefit of going #nojavascript #nojs on your #SmallWeb is being able to have full access to your web over experimental or retro #os. I just did a merry #solstice status update on mine. From #mothra. Running on #9front in #qemu running on top of #twm in #termux running on low end #android tablet. And yes, you can have decent user experience on mouse oriented system without a mouse using just trackpad / touchscreen.

#FreeBSD has breathed new life into this ancient #laptop. Switched from #twm to #openbox and surfing the #web with #elinks.

Admittedly I did cheat and replace the 5,400 RPM hard drive with a 1TB SSD. I'm not masochistic enough for that, particularly when I had something exponentially better on hand. 😆

So I just wrote myself a kb language layout indicator for #x11 to complement my #twm setup and #tmux status panel while at it. This #c thing seems quite useful. Yay me :toot:
