One more radar image from the #Asheville NC area, around 3pm on Monday. We again sit on the knife edge of nothing and light rain, while the snow/ice/heavy rain all gets bunched up on the western slopes of the Blue Ridge, or dusting the tops of the nearby peaks.

WeatherBug screencap of this continuing storm, with much light blue around my location (2160ft elevation) indicating light rain.

The pink to our southwest is probably along the Blue Ridge Parkway, and I think Mount Pisgah is under that section, at an altitude of about 5,000ft. That's probably ice/freezing rain and I'm sure the BRP is closed.

Further to the west more colors light up with deep greens and even yellows for heavy rain, mixing in with the baby blue of snow still blanketing TN.

I suppose by the time it crests the mountains it's just too tired to deal with our valley...

Saturday in #Asheville at this hour is about 34F with #rain, showing no signs of earlier snow/ice/sleet, although can't be certain.

Currently the precip is very fine points of very cold rain.

More storms on their way over the next week, so wise to keep an eye on it all.
