L’ambassade du Japon en #Tunisie a annoncé l’ouverture des #candidatures pour le 5e Prix Hideyo Noguchi pour l’Afrique, destiné aux individus et aux organisations actifs dans le domaine de la #recherche #médicale et des services #médicaux en Afrique.
Ce prix est organisé par le Bureau du Cabinet du #Japon , nommé en hommage à l’éminent #bactériologue #japonais M. Noguchi, qui aspirait à améliorer la #santé publique en Afrique avant de succomber à la #fièvre jaune.
Le prix est destiné aux individus et aux organisations actifs dans le domaine de la recherche médicale et des services médicaux en Afrique et sera décerné lors de la 9ème Conférence internationale de Tokyo sur le Développement de l’Afrique ( #TICAD9 ) en août 2025 au Japon.
La date limite de réception des recommandations est le 20 septembre 2024.
小展頗有意思的一點，不但為小盆友們開設一個練習作坊（以野口勇作品為啟發點），同時在一旁展出幾件野口勇常用的質材樣本，大人小盆友都可以瞭解到，原始粗糙的質材，經過思考、打磨，可以幻變成怎樣的多姿多彩～
我尤為欣賞其雕塑的另一特質在於，往往看似單薄卻豐富，於平面、三元、光綫、光面、形狀、面積、材質之間嬉玩，趣味十足。
以下兩件作品都是很好的例子。
這個展裏，我最喜歡的一點，在於野口勇對「動感」的捕捉，用在水墨畫中，尤其發揮優勢。他轉而又融合到雕塑，非常難得。
【繼續補記】展綫按年代順序走，一開始是其早期頭像作品。
現場佈展有點模擬30年代野口勇自己的佈置，可是，可是…就像許多山寨版，比例，比例，很重要，質材，也很重要 :0240: 現場座柱做成矮矮敦敦樣子，優雅盡失。
最喜歡的二件頭像，尤其青銅低頭少女，上鏡失色許多，實體黑墨中克斂濃濃一團沉默，低頭的微光引人探究。另一件卻相反，張揚，裂痕都張揚，照片效果倒更好。
野口勇（Isamu #Noguchi，1904—1988）
前邊兩個筆記，皆提及野口勇與現代舞藝術家們的合作，延續現代舞相關，記錄該展我最為之心儀的作品之一，《蛛裙與蛇Spider Dress and Serpent, 1946》，既是雕塑，亦為舞蹈道具。
野口勇於巴黎求學之後，曾到亞洲探尋「遠古精神」，不知其有否見過戰國時期鎮墓獸（圖4，圖源網絡）及金步搖（3 ，圖源網絡）之類古物，當然這些大部分為新近出土，然而，當我一眼見到野口勇這件作品，腦中重疊的影像是一座蓬生鹿角青銅器，我以為曾經存於某個相冊，如今翻遍卻翻不出來確切的那個影像…有點不可思議，難道我偏歪融合了鎮墓獸和金步搖的意象？
《蛛裙與蛇》，野口勇為舞蹈家Martha Graham一齣現代舞《Cave of the Heart》特意定製的舞具（圖補在回覆裏，© The Isamu Noguchi Foundation and Garden Museum / ADAGP）。雖然題目指向蜘蛛與蛇，然而實物質感，尤其展設打光，銅質螢光，優雅纖細向上延生的弧綫，令我無法擺脫鹿角在中國遠古呈現的意象。

本來對小展沒多大期待，畢竟不像美國日本更像野口勇大本營，想來重要作品不會多。真正看下來，卻也有不少驚喜。
自然，作為多產又商業化較高的藝術家之一，不能期待其件件作品抵達心目高度。所以展品就挑著記錄。
這一件，算是野口勇頗為出名的作品，名字起得悠遠，Miss Expanding Universe，「膨脹宇宙」小姐…
現場掛得特別高，看不得真切。剛好底下幾件展品讓我格外著迷，多虧D提醒，仰頭纔看到……聯想的卻是多雷（Gustave Doré，1832–1883）版畫《失樂園》中墜落的天使，哪會是展開宇宙的少女？
幾年後野口勇以此為原型，為現代舞先行舞者Ruth Page (1899-1991)設計了舞服，有束腰（圖4，自網絡）、不束腰兩種。我更喜愛不束腰的，及其編舞：https://youtu.be/MR4JOBOVUfw
