Good news for basically everything alive in my state.
Today, HB4134, the 1.25% for wildlife bill, passed the Oregon Senate after previously passing the House. It now heads to Governor Kotek's desk to be signed into law.
It will raise tens of millions of sorely needed dollars for wildlife conservation in our state. It's a huge win. I'm going to celebrate it.

Just watched Senators Wyden and Merkley on a virtual town hall. It was good, and they gave a shout out to the Portland Frog Brigade at the end! I think both of them are going to the State of the Swamp event next.

I haven't watched that footage in a while, but iirc the judge was solicitous enough to the fascists' objections that most of the remaining video had to be played without audio, so no one could hear any threats Gibson & Schultz may have made. Again, I can't recall in detail without revisiting, but the unaltered video is fucking bad and fucking obvious.

Oregon for All, a coalition of several organizations in the state, in mid-December said federal authorities had detained more than 1,900 immigrants in Oregon last year, often without warrants.
