I recently unpacked a box I packed seven years and two moves ago and found my 2014 Arthur C. Clarke Foundation award for the ESA Rosetta mission. It brought back some good memories.

I have titled this project "The Invaders." It’s a collection of freeform three-dimensional interpretations of landers (machines designed to land on the surface of a celestial body) created by space agencies.
The models are closer to a DIY project than a symbol of high technology. They serve as a reminder to put our sense of triumph or progress into perspective and reconnect with the fragility of our human condition.
This craft draws inspiration from the design of Philae, the ESA lander that embarked in 2015 to explore comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko.

🎂 Le 12 novembre 2014, #Philae devenait le premier objet à atterrir sur une comète. L’atterrissage ne s’étant pas complètement passé comme prévu, Philae avait malheureusement cessé d’émettre après 56 h de fonctionnement.
