Bwahahahaha!
I just voted my 95 shares of #AAPL. Easy-peasy - do the opposite of the board recommendations.
BUT THE #PROXYVOTE SERVER WASN'T HAPPY WITH SAFARI AND I HAD TO USE FIREFOX!

Great to see Ross Kerber of Reuters touching on the issue of pre-disclosing proxy votes https://www.reuters.com/sustainability/getting-front-proxy-ballots-ross-kerber-2025-04-23/ which can triple impact https://www.corpgov.net/2024/08/proxy-voting-at-norges/ also results in more and richer engagement. Hopefully, Ross' article will stimulate further discussion and use of thie tool. https://www.corpgov.net/2024/12/pre-disclosing-proxy-votes-bradley-august/ #corpgov #ESG #proxyvoting #proxyvote #stockholders #shareholders
"They missed votes after giving birth. Now they’re pushing to change Congress’ rules"

"Rep. Brittany Pettersen of Colorado, a Democrat, and Rep. Anna Paulina Luna of Florida, a Republican, are teaming up on a resolution to allow new parents to represent their constituents by designating another member to vote for them, commonly known as proxy voting, for 12 weeks after welcoming a child"
@mattgrayyes
It's worth highlighting that the #Tories changed the rules as of #Jan2024 so that British citizens living abroad may now vote in the #GeneralElection even if they been out of the #UK for MORE than 15 years.
They did it to prop up their voting share from all the (mostly) rich, (mostly Tory-voting) #expats living in Spain and the South of France.
I hope every #overseas #British citizen registers to vote and either immediately requests a postal ballot, or organises a #proxyVote
@InLimboProject
It is always fascinating to me that Britain, France and other countries have a (legal) proxy vote.
That's unconstitutional in Germany. And I have to say I would not feel comfortable with somebody else voting for me. 🤷
What we have is the right to have somebody vote for you in your presence. That's for handicapped people e.g. And of course there is always the possibility to vote by mail.

Here’s the detail and forms to apply for a #ProxyVote if you are already on the electoral roll, but don’t have #VoterID…

So the deadline has passed for applying for postal vote, but did you know there is still a way that you can cast your vote if you haven’t got #VoterID but are on the electoral roll. You can request a #ProxyVote.
If you apply by 25th April, someone can vote on your behalf. They need their own ID at polling station, but not yours.
Again, don’t ask me why this is possible, but it is?!
