Bend the Clock is definitely my favourite song of the new #Dream #Theater album #Parasomnia
That is, until I've played it too often, of course.
First listen to #DreamTheater’s #Parasomnia today. Refreshingly familiar, surprisingly powerful. Overall a really great album. Takes me back to Six Degrees, Octavarium, Black Clouds and even Awake, though a very clear departure from the #Mangini-Era. What strikes me is how cohesive the album feels especially compared to most of their more recent releases, while still allowing each song to stand on its own.
I have to say, the new #DreamTheater album #Parasomnia feels really rounded in terms of Progressive Metal.
It slaps? A lot, but there are a lot chord progressions that I'm sure make sense on paper, but not too much on execution.
Otherwise the album is solid, probably the best in terms of "concept" since 2013 self title album. Also, greatly mixed and sounding. I'll give it a 8/10.
