Uber did send me an email right before they suspended me about how OLS already has their own ULPs out and also said they cant retaliate about #labor organizing especially about the labor laws they already broke. 😡The harsh [not surprising] reality: Wealthy countries do not want to pay and are shifting the burden even more onto climate-vulnerable nations. The new draft text entirely denies wealthy countries’ obligations to #PayUp & remedy the massive harm caused by the climate crisis.

At #COP29 & all eyes are on #ClimateFinance! For decades, States most responsible for the #ClimateCrisis have failed to #PayUp real finance to those most vulnerable & least responsible. Now they’re pretending #CarbonMarkets will fill the gap! 🤫 Spoiler alert: they won’t!

Leaving a #LossAndDamage-sized hole in the climate finance goal will further escalate the harm to climate-vulnerable communities. States have legal obligations to #PayUp & this means trillions of public, grants-based finance for mitigation, adaptation AND loss & damage.
