Do you think after all these years since #Howard first became PM that people are over saying it can’t get worst.
Every time the #lnp says something before an election and then backtracks and everyone goes phew i can vote for them and then discover it was not backtracked.
All the thought bubbles they threw around, denied and then did.
We don’t need tax cuts, we need better economic managers. Every knee jerk policy hurts, every minister who makes ministerial decisions bypassing policy hurts. Their ignorance, graft and mates just get more and more annoying.
#labor may, on some levels not be better but at least they make sure they avoid doom and gloom which puts the breaks on random stupid decisions. The housing mess is a twisted beast. Happy homeowners because house prices go up or unhappy renters/buyers because tax incentives for investors, not homeowners, make houses unavailable and then too expensive.

⬆️ A few things may have contributed to the Greens worse than expected result.
Climate 200 backed independents may have drawn votes, volunteers and donations away from the Greens in some areas.
Labor have adopted or partially adopted some of the Greens major policies. These include putting mental health in Medicare, investing more in public housing and reducing HECS debts.
The election was dominated by cost of living issues with little attention on climate and environmental issues which are a strong point for the Greens.
