Hey Plan 9 peeps, esoteric question:
In 9P, are there actual use-cases for flushing a Tflush? The semantics of such a thing are defined in flush(5), but is this useful?
The best I can think of is perhaps simplifying clients that wish to gracefully hang up; just have them flush all outstanding tags without having to check whether it's a Tflush.

Plan 9 enthusiasts: I have released a wasm interpreter for plan 9, allowing you to easily run non-native wasi CLI tools on p9. It can also "package" wasi programs to run like native apps, the same way you do for RC. It is totally not just a frontend for wazero.

I am so intrigued by Plan9 (https://p9.io/plan9/) and the enthusiastic fans for it. It's like 40 years old. It's fugly. It's weird. But people LOVE it. I think I need to pull this into my life. I'm just not sure what I'd do with it... #plan9frombelllabs #plan9
Many interesting programs are not implemented in C, but the scripting language rc. This shows that the filesystem abstraction (everything really IS a file) is indeed very powerful.

Why use bloated tools if we can already do everything we want?
Acme is NOT the standard text editor, but it's still very nice. Having multiple windows makes it better than ed, at least.
