To Chase there is nothing more exciting than exploring. He is quite adventurous for a little dog, always on the look out for someone to make a fuss of him or a new smell to sniff.

Another new face to our sessions, Missy (Mystique). A very sweet puppy who only wants attention and love 💙
It didn't take her long to discover coming back to her humans when called brings good rewards.

Louie was a treasure of a dog, it took him time to accept other dogs but once he was comfortable a switch flipped and he was happy to learn and play.

Little Miss Bella proved a lot of personality can fit in a tiny body. Never a dull moment working with this ball of energy.

Do this job long enough and you'll encounter some truly special dogs, this goofball is Diego and believe it or not he was my first "challenge dog" as a young handler.

This was the day I discovered his love for hats. Diego whined till he was let pick one and sulked when it fall off.
One of many I'd love to go back and experience all over again.

Always helpful Jasper. He never missed a chance to help pack up his activities at the end of the session.

Lil was a special one, she started training earlier than most, and was one of the dogs who inspired my early puppy video course.

So other pups like Lil can learn and get a safe head start at home before their vaccinations.

I have never had a dog more motivated by cuddles than Zahli.
Treats? Maybe.
Toys? If she felt like it.
Cuddles? She'd do anything asked of her.

Words to live by as a trainer.

Without fail the dogs deemed "too hard" by others become favourites to work because I am always, as all good trainers should be, learning right beside my clients.

Oli was an absolute charmer and he knew it, unfortunately he didn't always understand that not every dog was as impressed with him as he was himself.

After a horrible 47C this week... it's finally cool enough to think again so back to posting good dogs it is.

George was the first "doodle" mix to come through my program, energetic does not begin to describe him

This handsome gentleman is Teddy, he is fearful of many things but has been making great progress. Today discovering the strange lady with cheese isn't so bad.

Sitting at over 40C (104F or above) for at least the next week... so needless to say we aren't running any sessions till it cools off, it's just not safe.

On a happier note here's baby Ari and her best friend Boss. They were both very happy and just wanted love. Both masters of the art of puppy eyes.

Today's spotlight is Wisky (pronounced Whisky).

She started with us in November of 2024 year and has a few unique challenges from her past but thanks to her forever family Wisky is starting to thrive and gain confidence.

At her most recent session she was able to stay hello to some dogs without panicking and that's a big step for Wisky.

Tonka started off a bit shy and very unsure of other dogs but only a few months later a more confident Tonka had his final session on the beach in 2023 and loved it. There was no better reward for him than digging.

Bit of a nostalgic one today with Mack, one of the dogs I worked with back in my days of volunteering with an organization called Labs'nLife, a sadly they are no longer around but the lovely remain.

All photos from back then will have "pre-2012" or "2021 or earlier" as past me didn't understand the importance of time stamps.

Harvey doing a little pose. Showing off our, at the time, new banner. He was such a smart pup too. Never took long to catch on to new tasks.

"Standing still? What's that?"
Ranger always had the stronger attention span but if you needed a task done fast, that's where Walter excelled.
A fun pair with their own strengths.

"I just met you and I love you!" - Dusty. This guy was unconditional love given form.
