In Quake 2 RTX, a werewolf stands before a metallic structure embedded into a canyon wall with a vertical sign above it that says "BAR". A general store is nearby, as is an illuminated stairway leading to a red "north exit" sign.

Inside the bar, which has a futuristic interior with blue and red lighting, a long bar off to the side, and a large, colourful jukebox against a wall next to the dance floor. A second floor has some large, blocky chairs.

Has anyone had an issue with Yamagi #Quake II (yquake2) launching with sounds and everything, but no window or game video of any kind showing up? Been having this issue since 14.3 and now with 15.0. I've already played around with the "+set vid_renderer" options and no dice.

For no reason (not true), I accidentally (a lie) started playing the PSX version of #QuakeII, which was ported to the re-release version: https://www.nexusmods.com/quake2/mods/50

I had played it before on an emulator. I guess I’m in the mood for something familiar – it’s very close to the original #Quake2 campaign — but not too familiar and comfortable. Yes, that violent and somewhat problematic game is comfortable to me. A lot.

I’ve written about Q2 quite a bit, I’m not going to bother with more.

Haha, just found a video clip from 2001: ACME33 Lan, from the good old Quake 2 days. Good fun to see. Long time since I saw so many fat monitors. I can still remember the smell in the room. 😆
