- managed to cut off some annoying branches from a plant near our outside stairs

Fluffy but slightly wet green/white monk parakeet sitting on a yellow blanket, which covers my knee. His feet are positioned at different altitudes, since he's leaning on my hand, which shapes a C around him. His visible eye is closed.

This photo is a couple years old but it was a special moment. We told #austinwildlufereacue that we had room for one more #quakerparrot the next day, the rescuer said she was transporting several babies through town. So we met with her. Alan and I got to sit and play with a bunch of baby birds. These guys all had their feathers and only needed hand feeding about once every 4 hours. We chose our bird, Temperance from among these little ones. Alan and I both love hand feeding baby #birds.
