Der Augenblick, indem der Geist in Materie umgewandelt wird, löst eine Faszination in mir aus, durch die mein malerischer Duktus bestimmt wird. Ich schöpfe aus dem Zufälligen und mit dem Zugefallenen arbeite ich weiter. Die Farben reißen Formen an sich, die Zeichen verlangen Farbe und indem ich mich mitreißen lasse, gewinne ich mein Bild. Ziel ist nicht das Abbild, ebenso wie die reine Abstraktion.
The moment in which spirit is transformed into matter triggers a fascination in me that determines my painterly style. I draw from what happens by chance and continue to work with what happens by chance. The colors take over shapes, the symbols demand color and by allowing myself to be carried away, I create my image. The aim is not the illustration, nor the pure abstraktion.

This series of 24 works is part of my Copy | Sample | Remix cycle and marks the conceptual starting point of the Tearing Geometric Sticker Work (TGSW) series.
It explores copying, repetition, and transformation – inspired by Gilles Deleuze’s Difference and Repetition and Roland Barthes’ Camera Lucida.
Based on 24 scanned images and text pages, new visual compositions emerge through the use of tearing techniques and basic geometric forms such as circles, squares, and triangles.
The text lines are blacked out to visually highlight Barthes’ concept of the punctum.
This creates a remix of existing material that presents the artwork as an open-ended process – bridging formal aesthetics, visual language, and conceptual depth.

Diese Serie von 24 Arbeiten ist Teil meines Zyklus Copy | Sample | Remix und markiert zugleich den gedanklichen Beginn der Werkreihe Tearing Geometric Sticker Work (TGSW).
Im Fokus stehen das Kopieren, Wiederholen und Transformieren – beeinflusst von Gilles Deleuzes Differenz und Wiederholung sowie Roland Barthes’ Die helle Kammer.
Aus 24 gescannten Bildern und Textseiten entstehen durch Reißtechnik und geometrische Grundformen wie Kreis, Quadrat und Dreieck neue visuelle Kompositionen.
Die Textzeilen wurden geschwärzt, um Barthes’ Konzept des punctum visuell hervorzuheben.
So entsteht ein Remix des Bestehenden, der das Kunstwerk als offenen Prozess zeigt – zwischen formaler Ästhetik, visueller Sprache und konzeptueller Tiefe.

The image shows my bullet journal held by me. The page is filled with colorful, hand-drawn illustrations of various items which may be found at a picnic or on an outing to an outdoor market. These items include: - A baguette - A slice of watermelon - A small container of strawberries - A couple of tomatoes on the vine - A few figs - A paper wrapper of creamy yellow cheese - A couple of wine glasses with red wine - A vintage radio labeled "Art + Sound" - A set of utensils (fork and spoon) - A sprig of grapes - Several skewers (kebabs) with colorful pieces of vegetables and meat - A slice of cheesecake with a strawberry and drizzled in strawberry glaze on a blue plate My bullet journal is held outdoors near some potted plants and a brick wall, on the deck of my apartment. The potted plants here serve as my garden. The illustrations are neatly arranged and are part of the creative aspect of my journaling experience. As an artist, I often will add some creative features to my journal, be it artworks of this nature, stickers, or photographs.The image shows my hand holding a mug of blueberry crumb cake flavored tea above a tablet on a wooden desk. The tablet screen displays a digital art project with colorful drawings of various items found at a picnic, such as a cordless radio with a vintage looking appearance, food, and drinks, arranged in a hexagonal layout. The tablet is running Clip Studio Paint, a graphics and illustration software, for creating digital art and design work. I am working on digitizing an image I drew in pencil and ink. Once it's finished, I will upload it to my Redbubble shop as a sticker design. A stylus pen for the tablet, is lying on the desk to the right of the tablet. In the background, there is a portion of a white and mint colored keyboard. The image was taken indoors, in a low-light setting, late at night.
