Here's another couple of #Reepham #ClassicCars

The first is an #Audi 100. I can't put my finger on it, but there's something different about this one. Is it the aerial? Or the wing mirrors? *Something* is non-standard, I'm sure.

The second is easier, it's a 1934 #Austin #Lichfield looking very stately. Surprisingly, it's listed as having an 1141cc engine, so progress would also be stately, I suspect.

Lowered so much the bodywork is practically scraping the ground, a white Audi 100 saloon sits among more traditonal classic cars in Reepham Market Place with, in the background, a street of 18th century disappearing into the distance. The Audi has deep-dished wheels with chrome hubcaps, but almost the entire top half of the wheel is hidden behind the wheel arch. Several people are admiring other cars in the background.A black 1934 Austin Lichfield sits in stately splendour between a more modern 1970s Triumph in blue and a red car of similar age to the Austin. The Lichfield is upright and square-edged, looking like a slightly smaller limousine. There's very little decoration to relieve its blackness, other than chrome lights, grille and small hubcaps, and a red leather interior. They're in a market square with 18th century buildings behind, and a decent crowd of people in between.

Here's another couple from the #Reepham classic car show.

A #Lotus #Europa (almost enough to make me question my electronhead credentials) and a stunning #Citroen #CX, echoing the DS' streamlining.

Chatting briefly to the Europa owner, he'd had a dilemma about which of the seven he owns to bring to the show. Anyone else here like that sort of problem?

A stunning Lotus Europa, black with gold pinstriping, takes the foreground of a view of several classic cars at Reepham classic car show with, in the backgroud, the light green King's Arms pub and other 18th century buildings in the Market Square. Many people - oddly almost exclusively men - are milling around a silver BMW, a green MGB, the rear of a yellow Capri and a bright green Mercedes (don't trust me on that one - my wife would probably say it was blue). The Europa is low-slung, tiny and distinctive: a 2-seater, it has an engine mounted behind the seats, so no need for windows behind the door pillar, where a solid side panel tapers initially sharply then more gently toward the rear. The rear 'bonnet' is open and a spectator is peering in.A metallic red Citroen CX, long, sleek, streamlined, with thin-spoked alloy wheels and black window frames and side rubbing strip. Behind it other classic cars are arranged in Reepham Market Square, with the main street disappearing into the distance, 18th century buildings on both sides. A decent-sized crowd are milling around the exhibits.

Sunday's #Reepham classic car show had some lovely exhibits. How about a small portion of ice cream before we start looking round, courtesy of this 1972 #Mini ice cream van.

If your tastes are a little more extravagant, perhaps a #Plymouth Cambridge would be more to your liking? This one is from 1952.

A tiny sky blue BMC Mini converted into an ice cream van. Signwritten 'Dee Dee's Luxury Ice Cream', it's a pick-up body (or a cut-down van) with a large white box on top which extends over the front of the cab and incorporates a serving window, in front of which an older couple are standing. Behind, a separate red Airstream-type caravan burger van can just be seen. They're parked at the edge of Reepham's market square, in front of some bollards and a low wall. Behind the wall, red-brick 18th century buildings provide an elegant backdrop.A beautiful curvy deep green Plymouth, dating from an era before extravagant fins. The front grille and bumper are large and chromed. The bumper has two huge chrome overriders and the grille appears to have three more. There are chrome strips along front and rear wings, chrome strips beneath all the windows, a chrome windscreen surround and a chrome bonnet strip. The hubcaps are - have a guess... yep - chrome, with a smaller circular red area, the better to see the chrome logos in the middle. Various modern vans and cars are in the background, in front of white-painted 18th century brick buildings. In the distance at the rear, a wooden notice board headed Reepham Town Council stands in front of a fence which surrounds an area of grass and trees.
