I guess I should do the #Introduction thing. As you can see from my profile, I'm a #queer #historian, but I also have graduate degrees in classics and library and inforrmation science. There was a while there when I was #pre-med but it never went anywhere. When I'm not working in #ResearchDevelopment, I enjoy #baking, #singing, #reading, #hiking, and #CivilizationV. I'm in the #Detroit metro area now, but I've lived in #Boulder and #DC previously. Amateur #genealogist too.

#introduction a bit more on my professional side. Many years ago I got a PhD in #PoliticalTheory but since then I've work across disciplines in #ResearchDevelopment. Somehow I ended up back in an academic role for a bit as Dean of #Research and now I'm working with the Centre for Effective Services - an NGO that works on #EvidenceBased Policy. It's really a coming together of all my experience, and I think something we need more of in #Ireland

As a way of summary, I'm the University of York's Fellowship Coordinator. I spend most of my time working with Early Career Researchers, helping them to understand what makes a strong Fellowship application, thinking about researcher development, and supporting our existing community of Research Fellows at York!
