Got the modded PS1 (SCPH-5501) connected to the PVM via a gwscart switch using RGB (CSYNC). The switch doesn't seem to have any issues with the signal coming in from the PS1, and the Retro Gaming Cables cable (EuroSCART -> RGB+Sync+Audio) is absolute quality. If it weren't for Silksong at the moment, I'd be jumping into some retro games.

If someone wants to make similar SCART cables and keep things standardized, here is the pinout I used. The connectors are GX12/GX16/GX20 (10-pin). If you use a thin cable GX16 should be fine, if the cable is thicker like mine I would recommend GX20 (20-20 hind sight). #scart #retrogaming
In 1st image there are small dark dots (zoomed in image of the jailbar fixed image). Just tested the Duo connected directly to the TV and the picture has no more dark dots. The culprit was the SCART coupler I had in between. Quite satisfied with the picture quality now. #scart #pcengine

The SCART casing now closes. Yay! Screwed on the custom 3D printed cable gland my buddy printed for me and it is done! Finally after months. I now have half a RGB SCART cable... Colour coded gland will help me easily distinguish the cables once I have made more. #dekita #rgb #scart #retrogaming
Decided to standardize on this pinout. 1 pin short to add s-video, but that's ok, coz you don't have luma and chroma in SCART, so when making an s-video cable I can repurpose the sync pin. #rgb #scart #retrogaming
Finally made some progress with this. I was a bit stuck, the 12V booster circuit was not working. Tried to find the problem on and off during evenings. Got help from screwbreaker himself via the GitHub (thanks!). Turns out I forgot to solder a cap on the backside... #retrogaming #rgb #scart

@Ninji Was there any connector with worse plug/unplug user experience than #SCART? Maybe unplugging #Displayport is quite a candidate.
@Ninji actually, no because #SCART cables don't necessarily have sufficient shielding and are mechanically too imprecise for highspeed data transfer even considering #Thunderbolt 1.0.and #USB 3.0...
