After about a month of work and testing since my talk at #SCALE22x I'm happy to announce some new updates to project #nixbook !
Big code cleanup, organization, much better systemd job stability for missed jobs, less resources usage on automatic updates, and simple notifications to the user when OS updates have started (and when they end)
If your not familiar, Nixbook is aimed to be the perfect windows / Chromebook replacement for basic users, built on #NixOS
So a little update. The biggest thing i got from #scale22x was a viral sinus infection. It was a nasty one. Sadly in my efforts to fight the infection, it made its way into my lungs. As someone who, out of all they things they can suck at in life, i suck at breathing. #asthma It seems this illness will continue on and linger for a bit longer. Sucks too as i had some projects in mind, but with no voice i cannot scream into the void.
Will get back to things once i am well enough to do so.

While attending #scale22x this weekend, someone asked me “what are you supposed to do at expos like this?” It caught me off guard at first, but it’s a very valid question. Tech conferences often have overwhelming menus of things to do and all the items are à la carte, so I thought I’d share some tips I’ve learned over the years.
I met Leslie Lamport at #Scale22x last weekend and asked him if he'd consider using fancy types in TLA+ if he had it to do over again and he were creating it today.
He actually said, "people fought me so hard on this." And then he said he wouldn't do it differently.
Just published a video opening up the registration swagbag from #SCaLE22x . Never got the chance at the conference.
