DaVinci Resolve Setup Guide
DavinciResolve works!
That took more pfaffing around than I wanted. Then some kindly dev pointed out the "ujust install-resolve" command (without quotes).
You find the program/app called Terminal (it was on the taskbar already for me). Type in the command. Press enter. And follow any instructions it gives you.
I'm using a type of Linux called Bazzite.

I'm trying to install #ProtonVPN on #Bazzite #Linux.
The #Fedora instructions from Protons website do not work due to Bazzite being based on Fedora's immutable atomic edition.
I'm sure I could spend some time translating the instructions to rpm-ostree syntax and & get it working but I really don't want to.
What's the consensus of installing Proton VPN as a Flat Pack? It does not appear to be an official build, but with over 50,000 downloads a month, I'm assuming it's safe?
Have I mentioned how much I love #bazzite today?

It just takes so long to do...

I can't stay on win10 forever though, and won't touch win11, so I just have to suck it up and try.
I'm watching the #DankPods #Linux vs #Windows Linux Summer Games Video right now and #Bazzite needs to sort out their driver issues - It's making you, and by extension everyone else - Look bad.
Like, really bad.
Half the time his nVidia GPU's were on LLVMPipe, and the other half they were on NVK.
It should be the 580 and 590 drivers, because
- LLVM is an emergency backup
- NVK is not ready yet and shouldn't be pushed in production.
This is actually tragic.
And yes he confirmed that he was using the ISO's specific for those devices.
I am legitimately upset about this.

Windows is gone!
I finally got #Windows 11 nuked from my system, along with every other OS I had installed: #Bazzite & #CachyOS.
I've gone back to #EndeavourOS, as it's my preferred #Archlinux flavour.
I also took the time this morning to organise my storage drives, so now I have 3 drives:
1tb: EndeavourOS boot and root partitions installed.
4tb: EndeavourOS /home partition
4tb: Storage drive for everything else
9tb of drive space and one dedicated OS. Disk space should not be an issue any time soon.
Just re-installing #WorldOfWarcraft now, and I've got #Steam, #Heroic Launcher, #Faugus and #Lutris all installed.
Got #Bazaar installed for handling flatpaks (every gaming launcher above bar Steam), which I prefer these days for application installs, in an effort to keep my system tidy.
Very streamlined and bare-bones, and I'm only installing the applications I absolutely need.
Just hope #WoW runs ok...

I'm assuming it is a #kde plasma 6.5 thing, but I keep getting a incompatable file system message every boot on #bazzite - I have a hard drive dock with several drives for my films and such. Yes I know it is not Linux based, no I don't intend to boot anything off them. Can I stop the message popping up every time I login?

Fixed automounting a network share (via SMB) on my Bazzite install by noticing I was using a mix of capital and lowercase letters for the same folder, once I made it all the same it's working! And hey, YARG has zero issues running with a song library hosted off of my NAS!
Next up is importing songs from the RB3DX setup I had on my 360, but it's almost 6 AM and I should probably get some sleep at some point...
