My clone of the NN1C #SO2R Mini (https://nn1c.org/so2r/ - plus LEDs and speed potentiometer). Just populated the first PCB and everything just worked out of the box. No smoke, DXlog works perfectly with it 😍. #hamradio

Finished tuning my 5B4AGN bandpass filter set. I bought it from someone who built it, but never bothered to tune the filters, so they were pretty much off. I have now tuned them according to the excellent instructions by Bob - all bands are within spec now. Another building block for my #SO2R station! Next step: Housing integration. #hamradio

I hate throwing away stuff, so this former 160mm × 160mm Hammond enclosure from an old project made acquaintance with a miter saw to fit my 160mm × 80mm PCB and got a "new" front panel (the old one with all the existing and new holes, plus a "Herma" laser printable label on top of it). My #SO2R band decoder slowly starts to look like something you could enjoy having in your ham shack 🙂 #hamradio #electronics #contesting

Slow progress on my #SO2R #contesting controller build... all parts are here now, everything seems to fit (printing the PCB outline on paper and checking has saved me from stupid mistakes more than once), so it's about time to order the PCBs! #hamradio

Progress on my #SO2R band decoder and antenna switch controller. I killed one of the outputs of the relay driver (by stupidity), but fortunately it has eight channels and I only need six, so I nonchalantly rewired one 🙂 . The big 78L05 in the TO-220 is the replacement for the REG101UA which I designed in initially, but then I noticed it can only handle 10V at the input. Now it's time to write some code for it! #hamradio

There's long stretches in the final few boss fights where the boss will just chain cast one screenclear after another and there's no meaningful input for the player, it's just a straight up pass/fail test of your stats and equip resists. #SO2R

The #SO2R endgame has a major problem with the Optimal Strategy for both the player and the bosses devolving into "Spam Full-Screen Multi Hit Cutscene Spells Faster Than Your Opponent Can React"

The final bosses in #SO2R are...........not..............good................

I like how instantly Rena acclimates to the idea of "We're going to murder the *shit* out of the Ten Wise Men" after a full game of only killing monsters.
